Aim. Run the visuals for The Scratch's headline show: live cameras and a library of looping content, cued live, in the look of the band's record, the yellow and black line-screen photography of the Pull Like A Dog gatefold.
What was made. A Python-built TouchDesigner rig: an A/B mixer, an effects rack, colour, a step sequencer, a content wall that reads a folder of loops, scene presets and MIDI mapping. The loops were made with the stop-motion pipeline.
What we found. One heavy TouchDesigner instance at a time: two at once crashed it and collided the video outputs. On the day the venue network kept dropping, so files went across in small pieces and the rig was driven remotely. Output ran at full 1920 by 1080.
Status. Used live at Iveagh Gardens, Dublin, 4 July 2026.
