Enueg I, Samuel Beckett &nbsp; This piece is part of a mission to explore and understand how more traditional lens based approaches to content can be implemented on large scale digital screens within the public realm. Collaborating closely with creative technologist and visual artist Dillon O’Sullivan, Kev directed the transformation of Kerbstone15 at Knowth through custom visuals using Notch. The resulting footage, captured by Peter Martin, served as a dynamic backdrop for performances on RTE—including a special appearance by Clannad, as well as a reading of Lux Aeterna by Neilí Conroy, written by Marina Karr. The event celebrated creative freedom, cultural connection, and a fusion of tradition and modernity. Representing Ireland at this prestigious international stage was Eimear Walshe, whose practice exemplifies the vitality and progressive spirit of contemporary Irish art. As Creative Director, I collaborated with an exceptional team to co-create an experience that encouraged new perspectives, embraced process-driven exploration, and showcased Ireland’s cultural tapestry in a rare late-night venue with a capacity for 450 esteemed guests to dance and express themselves.The night featured unforgettable performances from Björk, DJ Rupture, Mohammad Syf Khan, Mister Silla, Byron Yeates, B3rkeley, and Karl Kunger/Berglind, creating a sensory journey of sound and solidarity. Ireland that explored sustainability in a theatrical context. Kev helped transform the River Liffey’s banks into a stage, projecting text via lasers synced to a binaural audio experience accessed on each attendee’s phone. Interlaced animations and video were delivered through these devices, reducing the need for extensive hardware while expanding public engagement. Kev brought on designer Molly O’Cathain who collaborated with Sorcha Flynn, Julia Ritcher, and Natasha Bertram to create ten fantastical characters, each reflecting the festival’s focus on the summer solstice. Drawing on mythic tarot influences, the team photographed these characters in studio, around Dublin, and across the Ballinlough estate—turning everyday spaces into surreal canvases. Captured by photographer Shantanu Starick and brought to life with makeup by Paula McGylnn, the resulting images and videos formed a vibrant campaign that appeared on billboards and television in the weeks leading up to Body &amp; Soul. The “Rituals” concept underscored the festival’s commitment to immersive storytelling, inviting audiences to step into a realm where performance, design, and the celebration of nature intermingle. It incorporates a cymatic basin alongside a 3D kinetic sculpture overhead, fabricated from recycled ocean plastic and modeled in virtual reality by visual artist Ross Ryder. Lighting design by Darragh McAuliffe and a 5.1 surround sound piece by Jim Richards further heighten the multi-sensory experience.
